  1. Sorry it took so long guys and thanks for your help.

     

    Dave - thanks for the recommendations. I'll check them out. The 300mm is plenty long for my kid as he pitches and plays 2B. However, I've become the default camera man for the team (it's a travel team and they play most of they year and at least 80 games). So, I don't get great shots of the outfielders and I'd like to remedy that.

     

    Stefan - "300mm prime and teleconverter" is a foreign language to me. Can you explain further please?

     

    Richard - I posted 3 pics in my gallery. 2 are close-ups of my kid and they are OK. Those shots make up 80% of what I take during the game. The other pic is an outfielder and it's just not close enough to be a decent shot. I like to see the facial expressions because I think that's what makes a good shot.

    For what it's worth, my next problem to tackle is the fact that after the sun sets, my camera (or me) is mostly worthless. No matter what settings I try, the shots are out of focus and grainy.
