  1. <p>I received Rokunar CPL filter as an when I purchased extra gift when I purchased B+W XS-Pro HTM KSM Circular Polarizer.<br>

I test with B+W. The build quality: B+W is fine and thinner. The quality is reasonably good in use. I do not see any significant difference in image quality in family use. I did not test it for landscape. B+W is more smooth and gradual change. Rokunar CPL did good job surprisingly. </p>

  2. Possible contender

Tamron 10-24mm (No AFS-C)Not available yet, but could be much better than the previous 11-18mm.

    Tamron 11-18mm (AFS-C???) Good overall

Tokina 11-16mm F2.8(AFS-C)Not available yet, but could be much better than the previous 12-24mm.

    Tokina 12-24mm (NoAFS-C)Very good

    Nikon 12-24mm(AFS-C) Very Good

Canon 10-22mm ----- Best in this category yet

    Sigma 10-20mm (AFS-C) very good/good

For the amateur like me, all of these is good enough for print.

Important is ejoying it rather than continue analyze again again.

We have good enough inormation from many source such as

    slrgear.com

    pbase.com

    photo.net

    photodo.com

    photozone.de

    manufacture websites and etc.

For me since I have Nikon D40, I have no choice either Nikon 12-24mm or Sigma 10-20mm only for Auto focus. I am most interested in Tokina 11-16mm F2.8 due to the F2.8 and excellent colore saturation, and detailed sharpness acccording to their advetisement.

10 mm has almost 2.5 degree more than 11mm as 11mm has 2.5 degree more than 12mm. 1mm wide not big deal, but 2 mm different is sensible. I think Sigma 10-20mm is good for me at this point due to the higher price of Nikon. But I will watch Tokina 11-16mm F2.8 or Tamron 10-24mm after come to public.

Nikon price is more than its quality, so not wise to buy unless we buy it from ebay in good deal.
