Hi,

As anyone ever used these 2 together? Are they compatible?

Thanks,

Thank you to all who replied!
Thinking mid term, I realized that after Spain I plan on going to Costa Rica in 2014.
I'll definitely need WR gear. So I'll be getting the 16-50 WR next week & the 100mm Macro WR next year.
And maybe the 200 2.8 WR. [Minister of Finances willing, of course]
Regards,

Greetings all,

Preparing for a trip to Spain next month & trying to decide on what to bring camera/lenses wise.
Thinking of getting one of the above to replace the 18-55 [1st gen] kit lens.
All seem pretty good but the prices vary a lot from one to the other.
I want this to become my general walkabout lens. Low light is not my thing so wide aperture is not required.
Basically I'm looking for the most "bang for the buck" all purpose lens. Still want good image quality though...
WR is nice not so much the price tag but if it's the best, I'll bite the bullet and get one!
Also don't need very long because I'm more of the landscape/macro type.
This zoom would be added to a K-5 & a SMC Pentax-A 50mm Macro. Traveling light for a change!

Or taking the 18-55 + 50 macro & getting a nice 15mm Limited... I just hate myself sometimes!

Thank to all for your comments & advice.

Speed grip is history! Replacing it with a motor drive.

Thanks for the tip.
Wires seem fine. Shutter release is not locked.
I have no patience for thesethings. Off to the Recycling bin!

Hello everyone,
I'm having an issue with my SQ-Ai & the Speed Grip.
I am able to advance the film but it refuses to trip the shutter.
Also I noticed that as soon as I install the grip on the camera, the battery check LED lights up.
The camera works just fine without the grip...
Anyone experience this before?

Thanks for the help,

Hi,

Why don't you just put the battery in the camera when you use it?

Hi all,

Have any of you had any experience using a Ring flash (not a LED light) with the Pentax-A 120mm F4 Macro?

I'm looking for 1 to go with the above mentioned lens + also for my 135mm F4 Macro (6x7).

They both have a 67mm filter size.

Any models that you would recommend?

Thank you,

Pentax 645N - If you don't mind eye level shooting & fantastic lenses. All at a very reasonable price.
Cheers!

Thank you for your replies.
I'll go with a backpack instead. Easier on the old back.
