I just bought a little ol' 40d and a couple of lenses, when my husband told his best friend how much it cost he was like "For a camera!" lol.

Thank you all so much for commenting. I am actually planning on taking some classes and just bought my first DLSR (Canon 40d). One of the things that I personally learned from shooting this wedding was how difficult it was for me to "direct" people. It's something I'll definitely be working on...along with all the things you have mentioned.

I've done my first wedding, and I'd really appreciate a critique(Under 'Wedding' in my profile). I know I could
do so much better so I want it straight.
I'll go ahead and buffer this by saying that the Bride did like the photos I took, which makes me feel warm and
fuzzy inside.

If they ask, let them see the pictures (if you're shooting digital) in the back of your camera...and if they want to take them get ready to fight the system. If this happened to me I would show them, but wouldn't hand over my photographs.

I agree too, if it only takes you fifteen minutes and you don't have fifteen minutes then you should be able to hire someone to help. If I had someone send me a contract to fill out, I'd put that I would get 1000 photos for free...thats just me.

Sounds like a scam to me too.

Thats a lot of flower girls! Great job getting them all to sit down in the formal!

Go with the blue

I like it as well, it kind of gives it a dramatic look.

I would look at an office supply store, they often times have a lot of different sizes available.

I've been looking into the Epson as well, these little things are sleek and just plain cool.

I agree the best way to go would be off camera lighting.

At a recent wedding I shot they were also videotaping and I was really self conscience about where I went because I felt like I'd be in the way a lot. I got some pretty good shots hiding down in front of the front pews though, so it turned out.

Any photos I put in my website all have my watermark on them, so who would want to steal a photo that says "C. Humes Photogrpahy" on it...thats one way to go.
SmugMug satisfaction?
