looks like an incredible place, is there any time of day the sun might light it up? I have to say I just got back form a trip to BC and even though I have been there in the summer, the fall is like nothing I have ever seen before. You are blessed to live in an area like that.. Great photo too by the way!!

I think the forground is distracting from a pretty girl, If the f/stop was lower... maybe f8 and the plant was in focus. great location with nice natural lighting.

LOL; Jill I was not using a tripod, the action was way to fast and it is an uncroped shot. I had several frames with no bird or only a wing or a blur. This was in Juno

when the birds stared feeding near a fishing boad we were on. I was shooting a d300 with my 300 2.8 vr. I think I shot about 200+ frames in about 1-2 min.

I have not shot much at all this year but hope to soon. Thanks for stoping by,Donn

Jill, if you can get this shot in a field of flowers you have a home run!!!!

the girl is perfect, just the background is a little distracting but it is not a staged shot and that makes it a 7/7. Great capture.

Please don't take offence, but I tried my own version. yours is just fine and a great picurte I just wanted to see if warming it up a bit and tried to bring out the moss. I have never done this with someones picture before but Michael had helped me on one and I thought it was a big help. Cheers, Donn

Jill this is a great photo, I would just crop out the lower part where you see the main body reflection, and possibly use a nd filter to cut the glare off the water. also if the bird was on the left side of the frame and not centered so much so he was walking into the picture might add some. Best regards, Donn
  1. Keep it up!! this is fantastic, the only critique I could come up with is I would like to see more of the top, if you are able to soom out some. it is a 10 any way you look at it.
