I like the simplicity - black background, no droplets - just a beautiful red flower to savor. I might try to darken the vase as my went there which to me was a distraction. I like having the vase, but just a little more subdued.

Dave, hard to get image! I did not look at the settings to see why the front of the nest is blurred. Where is the nest?

Holger, I like the way you have the skyline very high in the frame. By including the sea and sky, you let us know this is a beach yet by the placement you emphasize the beach and not the sea or sky. Well done.

Tony, I like the simplicity of this image. I also thing the non parallel lines add to the old age feeling of this subject. I may have tried moving the framing down to include more of the ground in front. To me there is either not enough of the ground or it should not be included at all. If needs more balance one way or the other.

Tony, thanks for your comment on my Italian Plaza painting. I find the POV of this image fresh and new. The B/W affect is also very nice.

Good pose, framing and detail. Seems a little dark on my monitor.

Very Good image and nice capture. Good exposure and color. Very sharp. Have glint in the eye. The pose allows us to see the nice striping on her back and tail. These guys are usually quite skittish and don't sit still long.

Great concept and wonderful execution. Shading is perfect. I see jewels and lace floating in space.

More impact in this image. The B/W now focuses the eye on the form of the subject and not all the tiny scars it probably has. Your POV is the basically the same as my professional photographer friend's. Well done.

As I look at these types of images, I ask myself what I could do to heighten the impact. Dave lets go out just to experiment with different ideas. MA is tracking down the book she mentioned. Seems to be out of print - but that does not stop her.
