Thanks Walt, for your comment. The idea that shorelines should be horizontal is widely held, but it puzzles me. The river in my version seems more active to me; it goes somewhere.

I have mixed feeling about this photo, but find it interesting.

Unfortunately the connection to the web from my computer malfunctioned when I tried to rate it. Out of control, it sent you low ratings that I did not type in and did not want to send you. I saw them only for a split second, but think it was a 2 and a 3. I wish I knew how to correct this. I will send a note to the webmaster.
