I agree, the image doesn't have much to do with photography.

I agree with others that while it is well done technially (though you could argue the lighting on her arm and hand is too strong) the narrative element of the shot doesn't work due to the artificial poses, the blank facial expressions and the static nature of the scene.

like so many shots on photonet, you technical skills are beyond dispute, but the content is not to the same high standard. To me it looks like a calendar shot. Pretty, but what does it say beyond that? -
I agree with a couple of earlier posters, its looks like the picture has been made in PS. Nice light and everything, but the man looks added on.

the chains and the waves do a good job of drawing the viewer into the picture. The lighting is very good.
