I really like this alot...I get so tired of seeing the same things over and over...cute kids, butterflies on flowers, water/mountains/trees. A totally original image. Never seen before...at least not by me.

It's a very nice photo and she's gorgeous, but I agree with 100% with Vincent and Les. Always (almost always) focus on eyes. Shooting from that distance at f3.5 or so will give you a shallow depth of field (DOF) and focusing issues become exaggerated. Also, lighting is harsh as pointed out. My two suggestions are to read up on the different metering modes on the xti (I believe there are 4 different modes to select, for a case like this i would avoid evaluative metering mode). Also, as I recommend to nearly everyone, think about shooting in raw.

This is beautiful but looks just a touch underexposed to me...maybe use PS shadows and highlights to bring up shadows without affecting the water. Also, I do a lot of waterfalls and always like to add a blur layer to soften. Very nice shot. excellent.

Would be curious to see what it would look like if you flipped it so planks are running "downhill" instead of "uphill"

I think it's gorgeous, but it may be a little over the top in terms of color saturation. Alos, it may just be my monitor, but I wish the pier was a little sharper, and I agree with Doug's comment about horizon lines...altogether very very nice
