I am looking to upgrade from a Rebel and I am torn between the 50D (the new 60 or 70D) or go to the 7D? I have been working as a 2nd photographer shooting weddings, kids/family photos and head shots. Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Hi Dawn,
I work in the wedding photography industry and I deal with difficult brides on a daily basis. Your pictures are beautiful, the bride looks beautiful, I don't really see how she can complain.
I have had a similar situation and it boiled down to the Bride just wanting to get everything for nothing. I do hope things work out for you in the end.

Does anyone have a suggestion on what online service has the best albums/pricing? I am looking
for a casual look (like Kolo) and for weddings that I can go online and create the album but they
print it. I am familiar with Graphi, Zook and Queensberry.
Thanks!

Thanks again for your responses..one more question..does anyone recommend me getting the Canon 40D? ANd would I need a better lens then the 18-55/3.5-5.6 IS? I definitely have outgrown my Rebel 2000 and would like to get into more artistic photography as well as portraits.
WOuld you recommend renting any of the models before purchasing?

Yes I did mean from a film Rebel to a digital SLR. Thanks for the recommendations and for the lens information.

I am looking to move to an SLR camera (using a Rebel now). I mainly shoot children (not professionally)
however, I am trying to do this on a more professional level. I was looking at the xti, 20d or 30d. I think
the lenses from my Rebel can be used on the bodies of the models I mentioned.
Does anyone have any advice or recommendations?
Thanks!

Thank you everyone for your responses. This is great information and will definitely help me with my decision! I currently have the Rebel xti which I do like but I find it is limiting when shooting in low light situations etc. I think the 7D will be a good choice for me but I am sure the other bodies would also be a fine choice.
