1.
I own a D5000 and I have the 18-55mm VR lens it came with, and a 55-200mm, as well. I am wanting to do more close up work, and I've never purchased a macro lens before. Does anyone have any recommendations for something that will give me good DOF without breaking the bank? I mostly do flower close ups but may go into other things as well. Your help is greatly appreciated!

 2.
Hi everyone! Wow, there are some amazing pictures this week! I check this thread out every week but I've only posted a couple of times. Compared with all of your wonderful shots this week, mine isn't that great. But I would like to share it with you anyways. It was taken at Big Spring in Van Buren, Missouri. The water there is so blue, and it's such a contrast to the very green foliage. I love visiting there. This photo was taken mid-morning last weekend, with my D5000 and an 18-55mm VR lens.

 3.
Hi, I didn't see this listed anywhere else, so forgive me if this question has already been answered. I recently upgraded my Nikon D40 with a D5000 (Which I love, by the way) but the battery numbers are slightly different. The D40 uses a EN-EL9 while the D5000 uses a EN-EL9a. And I was wondering, are they interchangeable? I was looking on Ebay for an extra battery and they are selling the EN-EL9 and saying it's for the D5000, D40x, and D40. The D5000 battery says it's 7.2V & 1080mAh & 7.8Wh, while the D40's says it's 7.4V & 1000mAh. Just curious.
Thanks!
