I am particularly happy with this shot because I was able to get
everything (except the forward facing antennae) in focus. It is quite
hard to do at such a macro-focussing distance.

Looks like a Bryce 3-d image... the colours and shapes are wonderful. Good catch!

Did you go on one of Freeman Patterson's African workshops? or is it just a coincidence that I've seen this picture (or several very similar ones like it) at his recent seminar in Toronto?

This patch of flowers and grass is sandwiched on 4 sides by industrial complexes. Nevertheless it thrives, and in its fall shades of gold, is truly amazing. Most people I think would pass this by without a second glance. Thank you for your comment!

Very warm, very natural, very intimate. I like it a lot. Who says you need an 800mm lens to take a picture of wildlife? This says more to me about the deer and their habitat than any zoomed in eyeball shot. Good work.

What on earth is this supposed to be a picture of at all? I don't understand. Is the dude falling? Lying on sand? What is he wearing? I think I completely missed the ball on this. If someone can explain why they think this is funny please tell me! Over 6000 viewers?... I can't be the only one who can't figure it out!
