Hi Guys
I’m after a bit of advice and I hope you can help. Last year as a favour to my sister I covered her friend’s wedding now
the silly part on my half was not putting any agreement in writing (yes I know stupid and believe me I’ve leant my
lesson the hard way on that one) verbally we agreed I would cover the day for which I was given a small fee (wanted
to gain some wedding experience so money was not my incentive) and that once she had gone through the photos
and picked the ones she wanted I would arrange for the prints to be produced and would therefore be able to top up
my income for the day. The day went well the images were produced and given to my sister so the bride could pick
which she wanted and get back to me. Since this point i have heard nothing, i have contacted her a couple of times
and asked how things are going but she is still to arrange for any prints to be produced. Now to my problem. I have
logged into facebook today to find that approx 20 of my pictures have appeared on her profile. I had never given
permission for this and was never even consulted about this. And to be honest it has got my back up quite a lot. I
don’t care about the fact she can’t be bothered to sort out her own album or the fact i haven’t made any more money
from the prints but i don’t want my her using the proof images all across the internet where she feels fit.
As i don’t have any written contract etc do i have any power to get the images removed?
How would you guys deal with this kind of situation? Or has anyone experienced a similar problem?
I thought i would seek your advice before i contact her about this so i can come from a more informed position.
Hope someone can help.
Thanks

I have a Nikon 17 ? 55 f2.8 which I use for the majority of my work which I think is the best lens in the world. I have only recently got my D200 and lens which has zapped all my funds but feel I need something with a longer range that can tide me over until the bank manager lets me go shopping again.

Hi,
I?m looking to get a budget lens that will cover up to either 200mm or even better
300mm to use with my Nikon D200 for mainly landscape work. Ideally if money
was no object i would get the Nikon 70 ? 200mm f2.8 but unfortunately i don?t
have a spare couple of grand floating around so need something that is good
enough to use for the foreseeable future until i have the funds to upgrade to the
above lens. I have no preference over if the lens is by Nikon or another brand i?m
just after a good sharp lens at a budget price. Can anyone make any
suggestions?
Thanks

Thanks for all the help guys, i'll try and get hold of a demo of Neatimage and see if that makes any difference. I'll also try the layers and masking technique on a few of the best images.
In response to Paul?s comment i think there probably is a slight motion blur from the singer?s movement i had to use a long shutter speed to get this shot.

Hi all,
I have just finished working on some band pictures i took a couple of weeks
back and would like your options on noise reduction. I had to take the pics at
ISO 3200 due to the very low light levels. I have run this one through Noise
Ninja and would be interested to know what you think. Does the noise reduction
look over worked and if so what levels would you change to tweak it?

Hello all,
I?m after a bit of help, I have recently set myself the goal of trying to make
some money from selling some of my work and to this end have decided to try
and put some of my images into a stock agency. I am also planning to shoot
some new work specifically for the stock agency. My two questions are:-
1: Can anyone recommend a good stock agency for a beginner? My work is quite
varied and doesn?t fit into any one specific category so I would need an
agency with a broad range of work.
2: What kind of images regularly sell well in stock agencies?
Any help with this or any other tips on stock photography would be gratefully
received by a newbie hoping to start on a new career path.
Thanks
M

Hi,
Thanks all for the advice and i think you’re all right. I will not be falling into that trap again and am better prepared for future work because of the experience. I’ll just have to chalk it up to learning the hard way.
Cheers
