Thank you for your comments Thom and John.
John - Your suggestion about composing the shot differently is interesting. I guess I left the left side of the frame empty intentionally, although I do see the merits of your suggestion as well.

Outstanding monochromatic tones.

Gorgeous colors. The powerful contrast of the rocks nicely contrasts with the soft texture of the water.

Claude and Jeff: Thanks for your advice on cropping. I just printed this at 16x20, so the cropping works very well for that format.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions and kind words. I can't believe that I missed the fact that the image is not leveled.

Gorgeous composition and color rendition.

Thanks everyone for your comments.
@Margo: I like the idea of a version with less sky, especially since the horizon is close to the vertical center.

Thank you for your words Pierre. I appreciate your insight.

Thanks for your comment Alan. I'm not sure why I included the sign. There is a restaurant behind the camera called the Jolly Gator which is the distinguishing feature of this otherwise unremarkable river bank. I guess it's sort of a local landmark, of which I have no affiliation.

Great mix of color and texture. Beautiful work.

Wow. What an amazing scene and such dramatic light. It's as if the earth is rising up in a wave. Well done!
