Presently I own a D90 with the 18-135 kit lens. Assuming I would get a D700 and use a 50 1.4 lens on both cameras, would I get sharper shots with the D700? The largest I print is 11 x 14. I do however, crop often. Thanks.

This is exactly what I intend to do. Re-create the situation and look for error messages. Thanks all.

Just wondering if this is a repair issue as it is still under warranty.

I didnt attempt to do anything but try to depress the shutter as I was desperate to continue to take pictures.

Nope, no response at all. It did not hunt for autofocus.

I don't really remember how it actually felt at the time, and I didn't notice any blinking light either, but then again, I didn't particularly look. Next time it happens, I will surely be more alert. Thanks.

I was taking pictures at a wedding and for no reason that I was able to discern, the shutter on my relatively new D90 stopped depressing. About five minutes later, it started working again. This happened once before. No error messages. Any ideas?

The flash on my D90 does not always work when I am on the program (green) icon. It works sometimes and other times it does not flash. This happens all the time. It works sporadically. I will be outdoor taking pictures of the grandkids using it as a fill in flash, it flashes for a few pics, stops, flashes again, stops. Or indoors for family pics. Doesnt flash, does flash etc. Same lighting conditions. I am waiting enough time for it to recycle. My camera is still under warranty. Is this a Nikon repair issue? Otherwise the camera performs flawlessly. Thanks

Domke bags hands down are my favorite. Small and user friendly. Enjoy whichever bag you decide on.

I just bought the D90 with the kit 18-105 VR lens. My initial preference was the D90 with the 85 1.8 prime. However, since they were out of the body alone, I purchased the kit. Took it home, shot some images and was very pleasantly surprised. It nails focus and pictures come out sharp. What more can one ask for?

I am taking jpeg. I do not post process on the computer as I take most of my photos on the road and print them from the cf card directly. When the pictures come out very yellowish as a rule and I have kids running from room to room and outdoors, I dont have the time to custom white balance with a white paper shot all the time. I can do it some of the time, but I miss shots if I am busy with this all of the time.

I am finding, comaring photos from the 40D vs 50D, the colors are much more accurate with the 40D. Colors on the 50D have a very yellowish tint both indoors and outdoors. Anyone have this experience?

I am considering buiying the 50D this weekend. Probably with a 135L. This combo seems to work best for me. I take primarily JPEG's. Is it reasonable to expect that all photos need some post processing, or can I get most of my JPEG photos sharp straight out of the camera with this combo. The reason I ask, is that when I travel, I enjoy leaving my host with an album of pictures of their kids and other travel pictures. Traveling with my laptop and working with photoshop is not what I would like to do on vacation. Would I get sharper results with a 5DMK11 and 135L combo? Most pictures not larger than 5 x 7. Thank you.

Is there a wrist strap for a Canon DSLR? The neck strap always bothers me. If so, can you recommend a good one? Thanks.

Generally speaking, I always vote for better glass. However, I also own the Reble XT and never had a good day with it. In this case, I vote for the 40D upgrade.
