Hi guys, in the world of magazines, after you have done a fashion editorial for them, what is the correct manners or the practical way to ask the editor or should I say, offer your services again for their next issue?
summarised question meaning: "I know you wont ask becoz u have xxx numbers of other photographers u can engage, but I want to shoot again for you!

How do one do that or pose that question?

Regards!

Should I just stick to a DSLR for digital by getting the 5dmk2 when its released? P20 is a moderate digiback - i
cant afford the p25 and further I'm unsure if theres a mount for my rollei integral for the p25, however what
keeps me with the p20 option is the quality i get from my medium format rollei lens, absolute reason for this
choice.
But cost wise, I think it is more sensible by getting the 5dmk2 - and it has more megapixels - not sure if this
is a plus when compared with the p20 sensor - even though the latter is 16mpx. Lens wise no way it can compete
with the planar, let alone the apo symmar 90mm!
Viewfinder also, its just feels better shooting with the rollei prism and chimney viewfinder - bigger and
clearer. I shoot people. Pls help with your inputs!

thanks for the clarification, I found out the hassleblad back requires to tether or the storage bank to shoot - not quite what I want when shooting on location.
and now i've come up with another dilemma. Should I just stick to a DSLR for digital by getting the 5dmk2 when its released? hey guys, thanks for the responses. well according to the lightmeter readings i've set on my rollei, the LED shows that it is 3-4 stops under. is it normal?
i didnt use a cable sync rather a wireless trigger connecting to the hotshoe. however there are times when the flash wont fire and at times it fire...whats wrong here?
regards
-
thanks Tak for the quick reply
how do i test trigger the flash strobe with the camera shutter without wasting a frame? can it be done by unloading the mag and just depressing the shutter?
-
Is there any way I can use an external strobe for the flash? The wire goes in
the PC sync slot?
Will I get correct exposure if I set both the aperture and shutter speed on auto?
As you can see, a total newbie here. Appreciate any help coming this way.

Greetings,
I would appreciate it if anyone can tell me what film format do photographers
use for the 2 pages spread of the same picture that you see in many magazines,
most notably fashion. Usually it is a close up portraiture picture in a
landscape position. I understand that most of it comes from 6x7? Am i correct?
Can a 6x6 and 6x645 achieve this as well?
Asking the client for another round?

Thanks Matt! Great input and advice,
the ideas that you talked about; can it be a storyboard whipped out of different scenarios for the hopeful shoot? Or a test shoot done with a story portrayed in it that you want to sell in the next shoot, the former being the easier and less time consuming... what do you do to sell as 'the idea'?
