Hi from Greece .
One more time I need your advice. I am shooting weddings every summer .
My gear is : Canon 5D , Canon EOS 5 , Canon 28-70mm f2.8L , Canon 70-200 f 4L,
Canon speedlight 580EXII , Metz 54MZ4-i .
Last summer I had Canon 24-105 mm f4L and I could shoot with the same lens
group shots and portraits. My problem now is that I must change lens during
the ceremony and I dont know how convenient this is. My thought is to change
the 70-200 with a used Canon 20D or 30D and buy a prime lens for portraits
like Tamron 90mm f2.8 or Canon 85mm f1.8 USM .
I know that the ideal is to buy a second Canon 5D and the Canon 70-200mm f2.8
IS L but i can?t afford it.
Sorry for my bad English

I did it today. I gave the 24-105mm and took the 28-70mm f2.8L.
Today I understood how a real "L" lens is!
I think that the AF is faster and the contrast and colours are better.
I also understood today that Canon has two levels of "L" lenses.
The F4L lenses are for serious amateurs but the F2.8 L lenses are the top gear.
I want a used 135mm F2L and I will be OK!

I am a little confused: the above quote refers to buying the used 28 to 70F2.8L, I assume.
>>If this is correct then IMO, the f2.8L whilst faster than F4 is still NOT fast enough to accommodate all `portrait lens indoor` shots (assuming no flash or reflectors are to be used).
Certainly, F2.8 will be fast enough for many indoor captures, but not all. <<
I want the 28-70mm as an all around lens . I dont mind to get the 24-70mm but i cant find a used one. I think that the 4mm is not a big disadvadange for me . It is one or two steps backwards.
I think that the 28-70mm is not an ideal lens for headshots because I dont want to be too close to my model so I need a fast medium telephoto . If I had the money I would go for the 70-200mm f2.8 IS but..
Sorry for my bad English

Hi from Greece !
I am an amateur and I want to upgrade my equipment so I need your advice.
The lenses I own are :
Canon 24-105 mm F4 L IS, Canon 70-200mm F4 L (non IS) .
I intend to change the 24-105mm with Canon 28-70mm F2.8 L ( I found one used).
I dont have the money to go for Canon 70-200mm F2.8L IS so I am looking for a
prime lens for portraits. I know than the Canon 135mm F2 L is a very good lens
and I can aford the money.
I want your opinion .
I also have the Canon 5D.

Hi from Greece !!
I bought recently for my Canon 5D the Metz 54 MZ4 ?I with the 3102 M3
adapter When the flash is on A mode I can?t see any ISO indication on the
flash LCD panel .
I want to know if the camera transfers any ISO information to the flash .
Thanks and sorry for my English .

Hallo from Greece .
I?m a new member and my English are not so good. Anyway I?ll try ....
I have an LCD monitor ( LG FLATRON L193ST) and I?m trying to calibrate it with
eye-one display 2 hardware and eye-one Match v3.6.1 software. My graphic
card is Nvidia GeForce Turbo Chace and my PC proccecor is Intel pentium
4 3GHz with OS Windows XP (SP2).
The steps i follow for the calibration are :
1) I set the manifactures preferences from the On Screen Menu ( Brightness
100 Contrast 80
csm 6500 ) I have the ability to change them from the Nvidia software for
example i can increese the brightness althow it is 100% but i dont do it.
2) With eye-one Match i calibrate ( 6500K , 2.2 Gamma ,100 cd/m2 Brightness )
3) Then i save my ICC profile and make it default
My questions are :
How can i make some diferent ICC profiles and activate or deactivate each one
of them .
Does the Nvidia software causes any problem ; When i try to open an ICC
profile whith it the regulations are lost .
I have deactivated the Adobe Gama , abnd i cant uninstall the nvidia s/w
because it contains the drivers for the monitor and the card.
I need your advice
