Updating the firmware does not guarantee a fix to the overheating/cutting out of the SB900.

Never/ever shoot a function, such as a wedding without having a spare flash on your person!

Nikon should have got the SB900 right, even if it meant some more dollars.

Cheers

You should get a packhorse. Don't think many people would opt for carrying around and lugging all your gear.
They certainly wouldn't learn much about wedding photography workflow in 1 day!

Why do you need all this gear? You would miss many great spontaneous shots setting up.

Go light and shoot fast.

How would you feel about being an unpaid assistant for 1 wedding lugging heavy gear around while you make the money?

Cheers

I have both a NEC 2690 (wide gamut) and an NEC 2490 (sRGB) on my desktop.
Both of my monitors are extremely well calibrated!
After viewing your photo on both of my monitors they look superb! Just a slight more redness on my NEC 2690 but nothing you should worry about.

On my NEC 2490 sRGB (color space which photos should be when posted on the web) monitor your picture could not be any better!

Cheers

Anne should ask herself "what would I do if the roles were reversed"? She is fortunate to be paid for gaining experience/learning. I shot with the best photographer in my area (for nothing) and there is no way I would contemplate doing what she did! It was an honour to be able to shoot with this brilliant photographer.
Anne should learn that photography has a very good network and word gets around.
So really Anne you burned yourself....live and learn from this lesson. What you did could have some more consequences in the future for your career.
Finally, there is a great deal of difference in being the second shooter compared to being the primary shooter, doing it solo.

Cheers
