Great depth of field, focus and detail. That eye just pops right out. I might have been inspired to darken the areas around the bird's head in post-processing to lessen the impact of the leaves and branches and keep the focus on the heron. Never the less, I like the photo just fine as it is.

By selecting the wing only you have picked a unique subject. This is what caught my eye right away and enticed me to click on the image to see more detail. The detail and colors are also very nice. You have a good eye!

Very cool photo - full of motion. I wish I could see some facial expression but it is still a great photo as is.

Very cool photo. It puts the viewer right inside the car and produces a great feeling of motion. I would be proud to have made a photo like this one.

Wow, I like them both. I just visited a junk yard a few days ago and got some similar photos... but with a lot more rust! They both (color & b&w) look like they came out of a professionally shot car calendar or something like that. Well done!

Nice photo! Great detail and good colors. I like the composition too.

This photo may work well if digitally manipulated slightly. I have had interesting results with similar photos and would be tempted to turn the photo into a black and white, leaving the lamps in color. It would also have been nice if it were possible to separate the second lamp from the chimney on the house by changing the perspective slightly... but this may not have been possible. Over all, I like the photo as is very much and would definitely consider it a keeper. The blue hue gives a nice feeling of very cold weather.

Very interesting and colorful. I would like to hear how this shot came to be. Was it planned or did you come across this and decided to take a photo? The addition of the mirror at the other end was a good idea. I like it!

You managed to get the focus right on the eyes which is something I have a lot of trouble with when attempting similar photos when the subject is off center.

This photo hurts my brain a little bit if I look at it too long. But the motion is great and the tiny, single point of focus makes it very interesting. I like it!

I wish I could make a photo like this. I am sure it took quite some time to get it right. What caused the horizontal line at the base of the spash? Is this a shadow in the photo or something caused by processing? Now I have a project for the weekend. I am going to try to create my own version of this photo. Thanks for the inspiration!

Brilliant color and great detail. The background works perfectly with the green on top and gray on the bottom. However, the frame around the photo without the branch make me wonder if you replaced the background completely with a gradient in post-processing. Either way, a nice image!
