1.
I have the EN-EL3e for both so that will explain it. I will need to track down a EN-EL4a.
I brought the MB-D10 second hand and it did not come with the AA battery insert which I can only assume was lost by the original owner.
Thanks for your help.

  2.
Folks,
How does one get a D700 to shoot up to 8 fps with fresh batteries on the camera and in the MD10 battery pack ? I still get 5 fps and I wonder if there's something I have to do to get the most out of it.
Thanks for help.

I have recently purchased a Konica Minolta Dimage Multi Scan Pro (second hand) off eBay but it ne

eds some attention to the cogs that load the film trays. They appear slightly worn on one side and don't assist very we

ll with loading. I know this model is discontinued and sales and support is no longer available. Does anyone have

spare parts or old scanners no longer used, or even a technician I can talk to that can work on it, or has worked on o

    ne in the past?
Thank you for your response. I'm sorry that I did not come back to read these response earlier - my email alert did not work.
I have since discovered one important thing which I read in another forum. One must only load one calibration application on their PC. If both are loaded, the compete against each other. I have since un-installed the Spyder3 callibrarion software and now have no issue using ColorNavigator.
Thanks again. Stephen

  5.
Folks,
I have a tired laptop and am looking to upgrade to a new desktop PC. I also have an Eizo coloredge monitor, Epson r2400 printer, calibration gear and a Nikon d200. I use Lightroom and Photoshop CS3.
The PC is my last pieceof kit to set me up. If you had gear like I've described and spend lots of your hard earned cash on good gear, how would custom spec your PC? What is ideal for the happy amateur? Thanks for your thoughts. Stephen

  6.
All,

I have just spent thousands in an effort to get the best results from what I believe is the best gear.

I have an issue calibrating my new Eizo ColorEdge CG222W monitor using Spyder3 Elite 3.0.4.

Eizo provides calibration software called ColorNavigator. It allows you to choose other 3rd party color management products to work with it, i.e Spyder3 or Monkey etc.

I'm faced with the issue of using either colour management programmes and I'm not sure which is best to use.

I thought because it's a Eizo monitor, I would use ColourNavigator. ColorNavigator seems more intuitive than using Spyder3 Elite. I tried this at least half-a-dozen times and it would not go through the complete process. It would go through a couple of stages to display red, green and blue and then stop with an error message saying "Restart the software and retry the operation". I would try the operation again and then the same thing. Rebooting made no difference.

I welcome ideas from those who may have expereinced the same.

Thanks
Stephen

  7.
Thanks Joseph. I think I'm going to have to invest in a laser trigger. I'm also looking at a Nikon SB 900 flash and borrow a few other flash guns to achieve this. Did you manage to do an article on high speed and put it on your site as per your earlier post of Dec 20, 2007; 09:49 p.m?

  8.
All,
I'm keen to capture the best pictures of motion with a strobe flash gun - they likes of a bullet going through a light bulb. While I've read up on the techniques and setting the conditions on how to do it, I'm wanting to know what the best type of flash to buy. I've been told a Mertz 45 CL hammerhead will do the job. Do any of you have any recommendations? Thanks in anticipation.
