Ok, I am finally going to ask because i don't know.

What is a TTL flash, versus a non-TTL flash?

I am a first timer here on photo.net...I have endless questions, but here is my

first...

I am currently making most of my living doing film portrait work of babies/kids

and families. In this past year, I have begun venturing into doing commercial

photography for very small baby and children clothing companies. I have been

mostly shooting them digital, but also some film (I prefer film still). I really

enjoy the work, but feel that soon, it's time to start having a REAL rate,

instead of my getting my foot in the door rate...

Does anyone have any advice on how to begin to figure out rates for this type of

thing? I have a good reputation in my area as a portrait photographer, and would

like to use my reputation as a selling point when approaching small (mostly

local) businesses.
