2.
Ok : Here is a start. first what I thought I would do is list the lenses here first,as you have all been so much help. Yo can make me an offer, I will reply with a yes or a counter offer. When we come to an agreement I will post the lens, ect on ebay with a buy it now price, and there we go!That is the best idea I can come up with so we are both protected. second, I have not put these on a pentax dslr camera I am inspecting them as best i can visually so they will be guarenteed not to be doa. I have also tryed the mounts on a pentax me super as that is the only for sure pentax camera I have at my disposal. Well here is a start. 25 lenses/teleconverters. I will also through in filters too if you request. I have an orange crate half full of them. if you are interested in filters just let me know and I will see if I can set you up.
3.
I recently inherited 300+ lenses/adapter/filters/gear. I believe most are pentax lenses. About 30 or so at this time I know are for digital cameras(I believe for pentax digitals) I use a nikon D80 and was wondering if any of these lenses can be converted to work with my d80 nikon. I am just starting my research so I thought I would ask here first. Alot of these lenses have adaptall 2 mounts. I also would sell these at a good bargain too. So if you are in the market for a good deal and a good lens, most are like new. drop me a line at bfk4@gorge.net any info with the conversion/adapter question would be much appriciated. Thanks , Ben

  4. Bernhardt the 28-70 doesn't get close enough.not only that I dropped it:(. and more light might be good.you guys might have answered my question. as I think about the 50 1.8 that might be the way to go.if I want more light at 2.8 that seems the only real good idea. Am I thinking right here?I just cant seem to get enough light. seems Im always short on light. I don't really care about long focal length I have a 70-210d of course it doesn't go close and when I zoom it seems soft at the long end. 16-85 for a focal length is plenty. I want close and clear. I might do the 50 1.8 just for the reasons everyone is saying. I just switched over to digital and am enjoying it but I have been out of photography for to long, lol. Hey I really appriciate all the input you can't imagine what a big help it is. Thanks Biff
  5. Rich,

I agree that manual focus is a good way for her to start. I might just take your advice, and abandon the idea. She doesnt need a cadillac to start with.Just enough camera to get her to leave my D80 alone, lol. I have a 24mm rokkor, 28mm rokkor-sg,50mm minolta md,sigma 35-105mm macro zoom,Osawa mc 80-205mm macro zoom, Soligor 90-230mm zoom,2x teleconverter and a lens to mount the camera to a telescope. If I decide to sell, I will probably just post the camera and all on ebay. But thank you for the offer. Im not sure I will part with it no matter which way I decide to go.I grew up on this camera and I am kind of a sentimental fool :) Biff

  6. I recently bought a nikon d80(which I love) after years of waiting for minolta

to come out with a good dslr camera so I could use my 8 lenses from my x700.

Now that I have this camera I thought about selling the x700 but they are

basically worthless. Now my daughter wants to get into photography and I rarely

get a chance to use my d80. I thought I might buy her a minolta maxxum 5D if my

lenses were compatible with it. They are mc and md lenses none are autofocus.

Even if the auto focus didn't work I still think it would be worth doing. But I

just cant find out whether they will mount. Any thoughts would help. Thanks, Ben
