This is LEIDEN, The Netherlands! I was born there, and lived there for 40 years... This windmill was totaly rebuild (forgot the year) from scratch. On the background (right) you see the "Morspoort" (old city entrance) and the bridge runs over the (river) "Galgewater". When I was young(er) I stumbled many times over this bridge (hickup...) from Jazz cafe "the Duke" ;-)
Good oll'times...

Feels like home... sigh...

No where else to go?!
BEOND DUCKY, BEOND!
If you are on the right track, this picture will suck major in 5 years from now... (did I just say that?) -
Yep... "slow" is sometimes my middle name.
Just realized I just love the: "(as long as no one gets hurt)" remark. ;-) -
Love it 99%. Would love it 100% if you lost the border. It distracts me very much from the subject.

I love this picture so much. So full of color, freshness and action, and so well separated from the background. A true work of art!
Very warm greetings, from a rainy and stormy The Netherlands.

Miss Ducky, your absolute best. I'm very impressed. (love the others to)

I WITHDRAWAL MY STATEMENT. ITS A FAKE!
It has only 4 legs and the left wing is a copy of of the right wing only in a diffirent tone!
I just knew there was something about that DOF, that's why I came back.
I just hate this screwing around by people who can't take a decent picture.

I like this shot, and find it a crazy idea to remove the stairs. I also like the big emtyness to the left (very well noticed) I personaly might have stepped ONE little step to the right, to opticaly free the shopping cart from the doorway and I would have captured just a few inches more of the right, so the stairs are a legitimate part of the shot. But this is all inches-talk. Mighty fine shot Christian.

Note that you need the following RGB values for the background(s)
As an Attatch R=255, G=255, B=255
On your own pages R=239, G=239, B=239
(although it was meant as a joke ;-)

Why not go for the surprising cut? ;-)

Nothing should be changed about this picture, it is absolutely 100% mother beautiful perfect. In it's class, it's the best picture I've ever seen. Honest to God. (I've saved this picture for study)

This is my absolute favourite picture in your portfolio. (a litte masterpiece)

My thoughts are that there could not be a greater contrast between the person in the picture and the "brainless commercial message". Almost hear the person mumbling: "fu@# off", and therefore a great capture, as always...

For a free translation, call 555-fritstranslateplease. (he's one of the good-guy's) (Ioannis that is)
And indeed, let's pray for his English ;-)

One can only replace pictures by first deleting them via options, and then uploading the new version via the "ADD" option. I personaly do not agree that the flash reflection is a big no-no. The greatest in portrait photography leave the reflections of ringflashes/softboxes and traditional flashes unremoved in the eyes of all they portraied, so why not in the glasses... (I always see this as an extention of the exec ;-)

I would have placed "stream" between hyphens, but that's me...
Catchy, isn't it ;-)
Alberta..., I just whanted to thank your for your "critiques" on my photographs, especialy the B&W one I uploaded lastnight (EU-time). You have no idea how much this meant to me. I even want to go as far as that you have personaly "pushed" me in a future direction. This particular picture was a so called "testcase" for me. Somehow I dared to think that 'that' was the road to follow, but one always needs that second opinion...
You are a real friend... Talking about friends... Ya know I once wrote poems? and as it so happened I wrote one in English about Friendship, witch goes as follows:
Friendship needs to be felt,
when things in life go wrong.
Those who give it, to be held,
close to heart, where they belong.
Without friendship we would drown,
in a deep sea of dispare.
Without you my friend,
I would definitly end-up in there.
And I think some how it's not quite "out of place" here... ;-)

Ohw.. now I get it.. (takes some days to sinck in ya know) My response to Damien was refering to the fact he had heard that one never shoots a "subject" from below. But that's my favoutite position (ahem). Probably just because they sayed you should not. But it works great.

Something tells me this is a fake... just can't put my finger on it... ;-)
