Lovely photo, contrast might be a bit too high for my taste. Have you got more photos at this Circus? subject with great potential here...

Igor,
It's no way you can handhold this lens, it's huge... so it was on tripod, shot wide open. The challenge I face with this lens is to keep it free of vibration, so a release cord comes very handy. Here is a crop from the original file that might tell you more about resolving capacity of APO glass. The scan was only 3000DPI optical resolution, could go up to 4000 with Nikon Coolscan 9000ED. Film is Kodak Portra 400NC. Drop an e-mail if you're interested to see higher res samples.

any good? thanks for your time...

Steve, nice shot indeed... maybe you could post a bit bigger size? I am not in the position to critique somebody else photos but my rating would be 6/6... Warm regards, Bogdan.

Hello Mark good to see you're back on line and thanks for your comments.
Indeed the light was pretty difficult at the time I took this shot, minutes before sunset with pretty dense patches of clouds towards the sun, on the left of the photo. I had a PL filter on but I think the uneven sky tonality might also be partially natural. The amount of gear I can take in my field trips is pretty much limited so I don't normally carry a flash with me...
