Marc, besides the obvious palette of beauty you've captured (I can't imagine anyone NOT wanting this in large print on their wall), there's something else that this photo does... you've really created a sort of uneasy, "trapped" feeling with the point of view you picked. The soft-curved crevices right in front make you realize that hiking near Mt. Hood is no easy feat, and several have learned that the hard way. This is probably one of my favorites you've done; it's so much more than a photograph.

Marc,
Having lived in Oregon and having been to Three Sisters wilderness area, this image was a JOY to see. To my memory you actually captured this quite accurately. Oregon & Washington look like no other place in the world, and the "standard" of what we perceive as normal color and texture don't apply in the Northwest when those two to four-minute bursts of unexpected light or ground fog or precip grab us from behind, whether in Prineville or Klamath Falls or in Cannon Beach. Great job grabbing one of those moments here. Your composition is a lesson for me with every image you post.

Beautiful capture.
Cropping any of this would be like cutting notes out of Mozart's Symphony No. 29. It's as it should be.
Your continually growing gallery of the beauty of Creation is such a gift to all of us.
