  1. I have a 100-300 Tamron which I generally use for the soccer games. But it is f/4.3-6.7, or something like that. So, obviously I can't use it for night. I didn't know about noise ninja. I will also check out the lens reviews. I agree that with the expense it would be good to consider the other capabilities of such a lens (i don't make a living from it). Thanks for the feedback.
  2. which lense for photographing soccer/sports at night with K10? Can you tell me the ideal lense for shooting

sports like soccer or football? I often must shoot at night, so I think an F/2.8 or something like that? Which

    brand?<div>00RPVx-86021584.thumb.JPG.30ca028bd5aeaa089d83cb2a4a109c2a.JPG</div>

  3. You guys are amazing! I can only hope to come close. This is my shot of the year so far. It's my daughter's college graduation. I used my k10 with a 100-300mm on full zoom. A little noisy, but I'll take it.<div>00PWe3-44239984.jpg.6c44f1894ff8584b844f31f220b7931e.jpg</div>
  4. Good information. Thanks for the input. I've used Ritz Camera for some larger prints, and used my HP for some basic family 4x6s to pass around. From the feedback, it sounds like that is the way to go.
  5. Can you recommend a good quality color/bw photo printer? I'm looking to be

able to print at least 5x7 and perhaps 8x10 size. I'd like to get the best bang

for the buck. Thanks for your thoughts.

  6. Justin, Thanks for the sports shooting information. I will definitely check out the Transcend SD. I just tried to shoot a night soccer game, but without too much success. Can you recommend a lense with a wide enough apeture and decent zoom to shoot w/o flash? Or, I suppose a flash to use?
  7. Gee, Thanks so much for the info. I thought it was a simple question, but that just shows what a newbie I am. It was intriguing how that discussion morphed. Since I take a lot of sports shots it seems like the DNGs are a little quicker to write to the card. But does the Pentax software work with the DNG or do I need to get Lightroom or something like it? By the way the camera just showed up today. I got it from Dell. Thanks again, you've given me quite a welcome discussion.
  8. Is the Pentax PEF format best, or should i use the standard DNG format? I am a

new DSLR user, so I have no clue. In fact I'm waiting for my K10 to arrive in

the mail, but I downloaded the manual and have been reading it. But I'm

    confused about which Raw format.
