I like the windblown feathers around the bird's head, the reflection, and the moving sand in the background. The pose is also very nice. For this photo you might try cropping an inch of the top and about 1.25 inches from the bottom (to just below the where the water leaves the frame on the right), for a more horizontal composition. I think that could help to accentuate the sense of left-to-right movement that's suggested by the feathers and moving sand. If you shot it again, you might want to position the bird further from the middle of the frame.
