Such a simple subject that provoked much thought. My first impression was of umbrellas being slowly absorbed into the floor. You look further, and see the gentle shimmer of the water, the refracted poles under the surface. The shades of grey are perfect.

Incredibly evocative. There is something magical about travelling around that time of day, where the light is both bright enough to see and, and then suddenly it isn't and you wonder what happened.

The road is very blue. Was that intentional? My feeling is that it should be whiter, but I wondered if there was a reason.
