I am looking for someone who is experienced in repairing the shutter of the
Argoflex E. I have a 1946 Argoflex E. My husband took it apart and cleaned
the shutter assembly and we have it unstuck but we can't get it to stay
closed. Once the shutter is depressed it opens, closes and them opens
partially again, in what I would call a half-stop position (maybe?) New
territory for me here.
I don't want to spend tons on a camera I picked up for little to nothing. But
it would fun to get it working and play with it. I love experimenting with old
cameras.
I have searched the internet. I can find some pictures of the shutter taken
apart, but none where the shutter was "operational." All the photos had the
shutter and aperture open. That wasn't much help.

Thank you for the assistance. I have copied the image file for my husband. Several sights mentioned the use of lighter fluid. I purchased some today. (Since I don't smoke, this was an item I had to go find.) I am experienced with modern camera's. I have tons of photo's taken with similar pictures in family albums and I am curious to see what I can do with my "find".
Thank you very much for your assistance. My husband is so very eager to flustrated by another of my projects!
