I have obtained a couple of Kodak Trimlite 48 cameras, (late 1970 s 110 film) 1
of which is in excellent condition and matching electronic flash units that use
the FlipFlash connector. The problem is the flash will not synch with the
shutter. The flash units fire, BUT not when the shutter is open. I have tested
the same flash units with Trimlite 18, 28 and 38 s and it synchs. Any known
causes? Any way to fix? And yes the ND filter does swing down on both cameras.

I believe the other posters have provided reasonable gueses for what goes on in the "Mind of Kodak", please pardon the parody on a past Minolta advert campaign. As I am new to photo.net and do not know of a way to send you a msg. directly here goes, and it is almost on topic!

Check out http://www.gigapxl.org/ Defining the upper limits of large-format film photography, digital scanning and image processing, custom-built Gigapxl? cameras capture images with unprecedented resolution.
It would take a video wall of 10,000 television screens or 600 prints from a professional digital SLR camera to capture as much information as that contained in a single Gigapxl? exposure.
