Interesting pattern - very nicely seen.

I love it.  This photo seems to break a number of traditional rules but everything works.  The subject is perhaps a bit small, but the beautiful colors in the sky and nice smooth foreground make the whole image really pop.  Nice final detail with the bird in frame.  This shows it is good to get risky with your camera close to the water :)

Excellent composition.  There is nice depth here.  The aerial perspective on the tall buildings is great, and then the V-shape of the blvd play nicely with the skyscraper shadow.  Like a metronome or something.  Great job.

I hope you don't mind the question, but can you comment on the shutter speed?  I see a lot of coastal photos that go for the long exposure look, but you managed to freeze some of the water movement while showing motion at the head of the wave.  It makes for a very nice progression from the stationary rock, to the slow moving water finally to the crashing wave.

I think you really used the backlighting well in this photo.  I like that the foreground rock is in shadow, really highlighting the view within that natural frame.  And the clouds are just perfect (lucky you).
