1.
Hi, I recently bought an Interfit studio Flash Transmitter for our studio.
However, it will not fit onto my camera hot shoe (EOS 1DsIII or EOS 1D IV) have also tried it on another friends camera. Currenly I have to use it with the cable as trigger.
Is there a special bracket for connecting the camera and Interfit transmitter?
Thanks

Thanks for replying. I had a look with the mirror up because I had the same thought that you did, (well I suspected that a small piece of dirt was wedged under the mirror - if that was what you were thinking). It appears to have stopped for now and I will examine it again tomorrow in daylight to see if I can see anything.

  3.
Hi
I use a EOS1Ds MIII its about 2 years old now.
Just today a bright line has started appearing at the edge of my images.
This is just at the busiest time of the year too, how annoying.
Is this a repair job and do I need to take it back to Canon?
Its hasn't received any knocks or anything.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

  4.

Hi
I have had a photography website since 24 May 2005 that’s approx four and a half years.
It contains just over 400 pages but I also periodically update the site.
I recently updated all the tags, image names and alt texts based on excellent advice from Victor Drummond on this forum, in order for google to index the site better.

The problem is that after over 4 years, Google has only indexed 31 pages.
Worse, if I google image searc unique names that google has already indexed the pages do not even appear.
This means that images come and go and google will never see them.

I have uploaded the sitemap in XML produced by one of the standard tools. On my google page, the status says good and it can see “Total: 130, Indexed: 21”

Don't know if Victor is still around, but am I doing something fundamentally wrong here. The only thing that I can think of was that I was using frames in the past but I have now removed them.

My website:
www.akellyphoto.com

  5.
Thanks Pete. I wasn't sure what to do with regard to portrait/landscape pic.
If anyone has found what they think is the ideal picture gallery site, I'd love to hear. Obviously, everyone will probably have different ideas.
I never have the patience to wait for flash presentations myself (choose Skip!), and so I have linked each picture with the next by clicking the actual image. That way, even my impatent brother can dask through each gallery.
I do think the gallery is far from perfect. I used to have thumbnails that linked to each picture from a frame at the end of the page. However, I found this really messy and it varied so much with resolution that each persons experience was different.
So I love love to see what people's favourites are. Thanks

    Thanks for your HONEST opinion!
The site doesn't say I'm a professional photographer (I'm not).
The site is purely to get my work (and know how) out there.
I cannot find any spelling mistakes (neither can Word) but I'm sure there are some.
Can you tell me what "people seldon read copy" means
Andrew

  7.
Hi, I have spent the last two months slaving over a new website.
Firstly, I would really like some feeback its mostly Wildlife and Landscape and can be found at:
http://www.akellyphoto.com/
I know the images are large and unprotected, as long as their use is non-comercial, I don't mind downloads. Click on each image for a faster "Next" button to bring to next image.
Secondly, I have paid particluar attention to my Keywords and have uploaded a Sitemap (in XML), yet google have not crawled my site since May 3rd (See "Cached" on google search if interested). Does anyone know how long Google takes to do this?
Thanks
Andrew

  8. Hi,

My camera always displayed a maximum of 12 pictures in a burst. The camera (1Ds Mark 3) is only a few months old.

Tonight it is displaying a maximum burst of 4? I am using an Extreme Ducati 8G Compact flash. Have tried all my

other cards and also reset all camera settings, still the same. Tried fully charged battery. (Used manual focus,

speed set to 8000 etc. to no avail)

Have I set something inadvertently or do I have a problem with my camera?

    Many thanks

  9. Last night while photographing pine martins I noticed that my Flashes did not

    seem to be synchronising.

I had the following set up:

Eos 1V with hot show cable to 550 Flash (Set to master).

I had two other 580 flashes, in line of sight (2.3 to 3 metres), on tripods and

powered with Turbo 2X2's. On noticing this, I had to continue with the shoot (&

not blow my cover) and experiment later.

On removing two flashes from cables and camera and holding them in hand, set to

both to ETTL and both on channel 1. I trigger the master and there is a delay of

about 1/2 second before the second one fires.

Tried setting 580 to master and doing the same with 550 as slave an the same

occured. Am I doing some wrong or is this some strange feature of ETTL (ie could

there be a pre-flash and both are actually firing on the second instance)?
