This is a picture of a 'chomo' (female monk) taken at a Buddhist nunnery
in Ladakh, India. This is not a staged photo - she happened to be standing
there watching us, and consented to have this photo taken. They were
wonderful hosts, and explained many elements of their daily lives with us.
Many were children, and all seemed very happy and at peace with
themselves.

This photo depicts a folk dance from the state of Rajasthan, India. It is typically a high
energy performance accompanied by folk musicians as seen in the background. I
attempted to capture the energy of the performance with a slower shutter, and present
it here. C&C welcome. Thanks

Excellent sepia tones, and love the geometry. Well composed and taken. Best - Sekhar

Thanks Charles. The interesting thing is that the picture is not monochrome, but shot in full color. It was taken in very early morning light, and you can just about see the beginnings of a glow at the top of the frame.
