Thank you all so much for taking the time to comment on my photograph. I really appreciate it. Jennifer, I especially appreciate your critique and while I would normally agree with you I wanted to take a moment to explain why I went a different way with this picture. To me this photograph is incredibly personal, because the man is my grandfather. He has suffered from dementia for many years now.This photograph was meant to capture who my grandfather has become and for me that is a man who at times is a shell and whose eyes are often hollow. For me it's the most honest picture I could take of my grandfather who has been changed by his disease. Thank you all again for taking the time to look.

What a beautiful portrait you've captured. I love her eyes, such an intense gaze on such a young girl, and the hair swept across her forehead. I think it's stunning. Great job.

I think that the colors and lighting are quite nice. I agree that the reflections in the glasses may be a bit harsh especially since the rest of his face is in shadow, but overall the picture is nice and the colors are lovely.
