1.
Yesterday, I returned from a month trekking in Nepal. Since we spent a lot of time above 10,000 ft, and the temperatures were quite low, I decided to take a Sanho Colorspace-O fitted with a 80 gb 2.5" Seagate ST980817SM hard drive. I bought the device from Sanho without a HDD and assembled it myself, very easily done. This model of HDD is more rugged and operates higher and colder than normal drives (unfortunately, it also cost twice as much). The colorspace-o requires SATA. The device worked just fine and survived being portered, dropped, and frozen. I kept it in a small Pelican case (#1020) which just fit. I took the charger along as well but didn't need it, the battery is sufficient to backup 120 gb (according to the manufacturer). The controls on the colorspace are straightforward (especially if you read the instructions). Backup is very easy, as was download to PC. LCD is acceptably clear but not stellar. All in all, I consider it worth the money.
CHEERS!
