Thanks. Normaly I do not use the softening so much but in this type of photograph it works.

As far as I know the most attention in photographs is drawn towards the light part and not to the dark parts. So I don't see any improvement in your crop. And I loose a lot of the fading light.

the girl is kind of centered in the picture. i think i would prefer her standing out of the middle. and although you know it must have been warm over there the photo gives you a chilly feeling because of the blue color. greetings, bernadette
