  1. I agree with Rashed, I'll also add that the pose is interesting, relaxed ans a little spunky (coming from the model), the image seems reflects the model, the swim suit comes through very well,

    Monsoon Mood

the woman, the red sari and the bend down, are very uplifting, the stateliness of the trees framing this poetic gesture completes the story. The mood could be enhanced, I feel, but perhaps better left as is,

  2. the greens in the background are great, but in the foreground, where it's arguably the brightest, the green starts to become washed out and the grass less interesting. The attention of the geese draws in the viewer, transition from left through the images seems to work, but the white rock is a distraction,

the tree in the middle ground is interesting, perhaps the strongest element, could it be better to line it up on one of the thirds intersection? the foreground perhaps could be more selectively saturated, adding to the reds and pinks, without overdoing the greens, which are well presented here. I use history brush for selective editing...

  3. I think there is probably too much space above his head, and although the structure to the right adds some environmentals it forces the main subject into the center of the frame. All that said, I still like this photograph very much, for the interaction of the subject with the camera and the reaction of the man in the background. Cropping it differently could make it more "clinical", it has a certain warmth as is,

the lighting and the patterns are well managed. the depth of field captures the many fine lines well without too much obstruction from the more dominant stems,

Jeff, great capture, in addition to the moment the tail feathers and the leaves in the water are additional visual details to enjoy, the surrounding water is a little dark, perhaps lighter color there, what seems to be green, could be another interesting detail,
  4. I think the original is a fine photograph, with the strong window light it imparts it's own personality, related to the viewer's interaction with that light. The grain helps the textures in the stone. I sense a slight tilt to the left...

grime ans squalor is obvious, but there is also an obvious appreciation for music, that I would say transcends all else, btw, where's the tape player?

the texture of the image is interesting, the expression well rendered and absorbing, the hands in front perhaps the weakest element, it is not clear what it is resting on,

I like very much the blacks in the dress, and it's texture.

I think her face is the most important element though, and therefore the space above her hat is a distraction, I think cropping closer to the fingers on the left helps focus attention on her face.

I could agree in general with Rebecca, Marc G. and Amir about the eyes, and facial expression, one could walk away thinking it's a blank stare. But, putting more attention on the face might change that.

I do live in Miami now, the city takes a bit of getting use to,

I appreciate teh feedback on the photograph, I approached it in a very direct way, I think it has a certain honesty about it,
