If you go MF, go full-frame, so u can think of Mamiya RB 67ProS, or even Hasselblad..If u do that, forget scaners, print your photos after choosing good ones from a contact copy..BR,vf

5 D is FF as is my 1Ds. I've noticed a distortion problem when using Canon 17-40 L lens at 17mm, f6.3. I've tried to fix the problem using PS filter-distort-lens correction-remove dist. option without decent result.

I use Bowens 200 kit and I like it a lot.

Canon EF 135 mm 1:2 L is excellent portrait lens if you like to take a picture from 2 or 3 meters distance from a subject. Some people also like it for it's black rather than white finish..Wide open it produces nicely blured background. Images are very sharp almost regardless chosen aperture. I use it with 40D and I like that feeling of it's weight comparing with 50 and 85 mm lenses that are also very good for taking portraits. If you take most of your photos with hand-held camera you should have in mind that on a crop sensor camera it is cca 200 mm lens, and the exposure should be about that number, since it is not equiped with IS engine.

Thank You guys..the subject lens does not work with flash while my old 127 mm does..Lens is otherwise in great condicion so I'l have it in a repair-shop. The space between the rings - the slot is to tight and my eyes to old to fix it myself..

Like Nick Jeftic said it before, "equipment shows its true performance when it is chalanged by demanding circumstances". Try to focus in low light conditions, or on AI servo mode etc. Yet I have to admitt that I've seen outstanding art photos produced with kit lenses. lt depends of what do you need camera/lens for and how versatile are you in using your gear..

paul RON, Powderbear . Mark Farrell - thank you guys, it was very helpful. Mark - thanx once more for links. What is steel bothering me is an "Pro EX" abbreviation in the name of a lens? What does it stand for and is it going to work on RB 67 ProS camera?

I am new in MF. Recently I have purchased a Mamiya RB 67 ProS camera with a 127 mm lens. Taking photos of the landscape I've found this lens not wide enough, so now I am interesting in if Mamiya Sekor RB67 90mm Lens Pro EX (name from the e-bay) will be the one for me? Thank You.

I do it on regular basis..most of them I dont know. I would leave my card to people I've photographed but I dont know if I am permited to print photo.net name/adress on it..In fact maybe it could be another idea, Photo.net could confirm an associate photographer status to the people that realy post significant number of photos in a year or two time..
http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=838523

Jack, lucky me with one lens only..:))

Chris, thank's, I've got it.

Kelly, thank you, think I've got a picture; to focus on a closer subject one have to move away the lens from the film and subesequently need more light than shown in a light-meter device? As Gary said, I need exposure compensation. For 127 mm lens everything inside 10 to 1,5 meters need no exposure compensation. How close I am ?
