Shot with Ektachrome, 1973. Notice his throttle hand is already off the grip, and his goggles are extended off his face. The rider left the track in an ambulance. 

Superlative capture! Great detail on the stars, especially the milky way.  I like the sillouette of the trees. Nicely done!

Thank you for the critiques and comments.  I, too, was a bit dissappointed in how dominant (and ugly) the background turned out.  As we say "it is what it is".  This was a street shot that didn't give me any control of the environment.  She was really astounding.  I'm just glad I captured her.  I have several more that I'm still working through.  Thanks, again!  Gerry

Excellent capture.  Great eye. Not only do I like the shadow-play on the wall, but the stretched out shadows are a nice feature as well.  It's interesting how each person seems to be striking their own pose.  Nicely composed.  Well shot.
