A lot of flash power from a broncolor mobil unit ... .. brought the iso down to 50 i think and then set the shutter speed to 1/200th on a 5D MK2 ... flash unit triggered wireless and the flash power hiked up :-)

Natural light portrait just prior to sunset on a bright sunny

afternoon in early January .... large reflector used to push some

    light back into the face.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Thanks oswald and no offence taken. The clothing is very urban edged and on trend int he UK currently ... typically the type of thing worn by the age group. The fence was chosen to compliment the urban backdrop rather than to contrast against it.

It's the type of image I shoot for protrait clients who want something striking and bold - something slightly different from the norm really and it's very popular. It's not a fine art image nor does it profess to be anything other than a portrait really ... but it is one of my favouritres.

    Thanks again

Taken last year on a portrait shoot. shot using a couple of

speedlites with home made modifiers. Background underexposed.

The model is an actress who has appeared in a couple of UK TV shows

and is the model I currently use on portrait and fashion tuition days

    and workshops.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Thanks for the ocments and feedback. Arash .. thakns for the mod but the WB was shot correctly ... the light behind is a very strong sunset with a mixed silver and gold reflector from the lastolite range providing the retuin light into the face.

It is shot to be cinematic in style though I do appreciate it might not be to everyones taste :-)

    Thanks again and Merry xmas!
