This was one of the better exposed shots I got that day, the sun was in

a terrible position all day and made getting a good composition difficult.

We walked to the right angle well into the distance that goes up the

mountain, this shot is at tower one and to that far point are 8 more that

are not visible. Each tower gives you a new perspective and an

appreciation of the magnitude of this structure and those who built it so

    long ago!

I have this shot with no-one walking through but felt it had no story, let

me know if you think it would be better as a framed focus scene?

With a total lack of colour I thought the only way to draw your attention

to the start point would be to add somone in red so then your eye will

lead into the distance, not sure if it works?

  1. I think this is a very well composed shot, my only concern is that the foreground is in focus but the middle is not. Without details it is hard to say but I am asuming that the F setting was not suited to this shot. When I took my shots with Velvia I always used f22 or at worst f18, try it next time or if you don't have manual settings use the landscape setting and focus mid way in the scene.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the feedback, unfortunately it is a compact camera so filters are not possible. So far it seems like a handy little camera and the pano feature is pretty good!

No matter where I looked the sun was in my face, I thought it added to

the mystery of the location and this is one of the first pano shots I took

with my new Sony panoramic camera.

Any suggestions on how to eliminate the sun glare would be greatly

received or any constructive comments welcome

    Hi Sub,

Sorry for the low rate, but the fence wire is just too much you would have been better off not taking the shot if you could not get a clear one. Either that or just keep it for yourself and not post it here for review?

Not worthy of your other work, sorry.

Third in the series, don't know if I like this one better than the

other> All coments welcome, I would love to receive your knowledge on

how you would improve this shot.

  2. This was shot as part of a project here on PN, it was 11pm at night

and raining, I used my daughters 400D which is my first time with a

    digital camera.

    F11, iso400, 15 sec exposure
