Just a simple case of over exposure

-

I haven’t go time for people on this forum who just feel the need to slate other photographers.
Exactly what you are doing with this comment.

We have a very active Greyhound Rescue Charity who attend nearly all the local events and I keep an eye on their page to see what is going on. Sneaky but effective.
My nearest shop is 5 miles away and we don't get a local paper so it is difficult knowing what is on until after the event. You can also try the local Tourist Information office.
Regards

I will keep quiet in future - today I found spots on my sensor again.

I have a D200 and have suffered sensor dust problems - I do frequently change lens whilst outside sometimes in windy conditions - and I bought a cleaning kit which was Ok bit now I carry a small brush from an artists shop in my bag and it works very well indeed. Strangely I have had no problems for over a year now.
I am also considering moving to a D700 9because of the full frame) and had hoped to get more encouragement here ( I am reluctant to spend the money) but not much feedback in this direction
Regards

The things I do for a comment or critique! I like to comment on and praise photos I like, I will critique those I dislike belonging to people I know will accept it in good faith.
I have received a lot of abuse - usually from females with large .. er egos for suggestions and criticisms which were justifiable. However what I think we should avoid is back scratching - you praise mine and I'll praise yours.
I rarely mark these days but when I do I am quite happy to use the full range of 1 - 7. We all have different tastes but we should all try to be honest in our comments.

I've just weighed my Lowepro Minitrekker and it is over 7 kilos (about 16 lbs) and this doesn't include tripod. As a not ultrafit 68 year old I think that I have reached my limit, certainly for long walks amongst the hills. It contains a D200 and 4 lenses plus various knick knacks.
What does yours weigh?

I have no problems - my halo covers all eventualities!

It is rumoured that in the EU next year it will be neccessary to have a licence to own and operate a camera, it will also be essential to belong to an authorised camera club or photogrphic society.

When it pee's it belongs to your wife, I bet if it caught a few mice it would belong to you. Cats belong to no one. Hang it out in the wind for a while - the bag that is!

Mine is a sable brush. I change lenses frequently outdoors and my D200 sensor eems to attract dirt likes flies around ....jam (preserves to some of you)

Corporate conception - is it called happy hour?

I used to use a tripod but people used to look at me...

I'll have a peep at Sinh's SP - might make me feel better.
Serious resolution is to use my tripod more, currently usage about 0.25%.

It is whispered that if you dare rate 3/3 you will receive serious abuse and receive messages demanding that you do not rate them again!

Can someone help please.
I went into the forest (SW Scotland) and photographed some fascinating fungi- please see my Flora and Fungi folder.
Although I have bought a book I am struggling to indentify what some of them are, I would be grateful if some expert
could spare a few minutes to identify them for me. Thanls in advance

I usually print about 50 A3 prints per year for our camera club competitions and then they rotate around the house hanging on walls

Hence the expression "wing and a prayer" - don't get into a flap about it!

Marto mato sounds both arty and fruity to me, maybe even saucy!

I'm glad I left England, trouble is it never stops raining here in Scotland.

I'm a bit worried that my wife is becoming a too old to carry my bag and tripod. Not sure what to do about it.
The death of the photography clubs?

I am a member of a flourishing local camera club which is very competition orientated and it does extremely well in national competitions. Several of us however have decided to grasp the nettle and set up an informal club concentrating on food, fellowship, philosophy, fun and lastly photography.
Our club is called The Old Farts Camera Club. www.oldfartscameraclub.co.uk
We are really enjoying ourselves and some days even take photographs.
