    Me

I once had a friend who used to steal my camera when I wasn't looking and take several shots of himself in various forms of funny faces, and this shot of you reminds me of that. Not that you have a funny face, but that you are holding the camera and taking a shot of yourself with it. It shows you have a fun loving side - and it looks good on you! Cheers, Sandra.

I can't say that I've ever seen anything quite as interesting, unique or perfectly timed as this image. I'm an instant fan. Cheers, Sandra Sigfusson
  1. One of the things that triggered an interest in photography for me was an image in a nature calendar that blew my mind - it was an image of these incredible cactus blooms. I thought if I could one day capture an image like that I'd be very proud. Since then I had forgotten about that image, but now you've renewed my spark with your wonderful shot of these blooms. Hi Tamara, Thanks for your reply to my Swampscott Dory question, and including the bonus Dory factory image - my brother will love seeing this image. Have a great week. Cheers, Sandra.

    Old Boats

I just dropped by to say thank you for your supportive comments on my albums. Much appreciated. All your images are really wonderful and I will have to check back regularly to see what's new with your albums. Your macro images are quite inspiring and your shots of your grandchildren are delightful.

My brother and I think this old boat (the one on top) is a Swampscott Dory. My brother has the sailboat version of this boat which is the clippper and this is the closest picture he's found of an example of this little darling. It is an east coast design that dates back to 1891. He is currently restoring it to it's original beauty. Most of them are 14 - 16 feet long, his is 21 feet. There are only a handful of them here on the west coast of Canada (Vancouver), so quite rare. By the way, this image is fabulous! Cheers, Sandra Sigfusson

    The long haul

I attended my first rodeo this past weekend. What a hoot.

This is an superb capture - great focus, perfect expression & body position on the rider, and of course the stetson ladened onlookers finishes it off to perfection. Love the sheen on the horse's body as well.

I managed a few good rodeo shots this weekend, but nothing as clean as this. Cheers, Sandra Sigfusson

My first impression of this image was humour - the escaping escargot. I guess it's all in the perception. I am definitely drawn to this image, it has a mesmerizing quality.
  2. I have to agree with Mike's comment - this is an outstanding perspective of the Eiffel Tower. I think this image would also be just as striking in black and white, assuming you haven't already experimented with that. I also like that you didn't make the tower the centre of the image, but rather chose the sunburst as the centre point.
  3. I only wish my own wedding images had this much charm and "fun" in them. This is a great timing image and is truly delightful on so many levels. I'm in love just looking at it. There is nothing negative about capturing true love in the way you've captured theirs. This would make a great cover for a Brides magazine. Well done. Cheers, Sandra

I can't say anything negative about this image. It is both striking and intersting as a character portrait. The colours and lighting are perfect. Well done. Cheers, Sandra.
