  1. Thank you for the comments. I have to say the sky has been saturated really very little and I am happy with that part of the photo although you do make an interesting point so perhaps I will consider it further. I do have a wider angle shot but I avoided shooting too much to the right because it was rush hour and totally impossible to avoid the queue of cars. Thanks

  2. This is Clifton Suspension Bridge, one of many creations of the

greatest engineer ever to have lived, Isambard Kingdom Brunel. It's

Bristols most iconic landmark and, since it is also beautiful, it is a

    much photographed structure.

The Storr, Isle of Skye, Scotland. An early rise for this one. Its a

seen shot by hundreds of photographers before me but it is such and

inspiring landscape you cant help but take a picture! Opinions welcome.

    Thanks

    Hi Adam

I was up in sky a couple of months ago and went up to the Storr myself. This is a nicely composed shot and the lighting is excellent, but I do feel that it has been overfiltered. That colour cast does bother me and personally I would correct it. I would stay away from HDR per se but I think this shot would have benefitted had you used exposure bracketting instead of filtering wuite so much.

  3. This shot was taken on the western edge of Dartmoor. The tree itself

is not far from home and I have photographed it a few times. It is in

such an exposed location it is a wonder it still stands. Comments welcome

  4. Not sure about this one David. It lacks a real focal point and the largest foreground rock feels a little too heavy for the image. One thing it really does put across is just how haphazard so many of dartmoors tors are! I like the way you have processed this too, you have captured the tones and colours in a very naturalistic manner.

Stunning image David, that foreground really is a treat. I saw a similar shot of Marks and its interesting reading my critique that, had I known you had taken this image, I could have just saved some effort and said "do what david did" :P
  5. Finally someone who knows how to use blending to create a more realistic result. Very clean job, no halos in sight and well worth the effort.

This is a lovely shot the colour is wonderful and the pine trees are bringing something a bit different to the image.

Beautiful shot. My only advice would be to brighten the foreground sand just slightly to give a more symetrical appearance (which you seem to be going for)

This is a real winner. It is well thought out, composed an executed. The decision to display the shot upsidedown turns an ordinary reflection into a work of art. I find this image to be very though provoking and pleasureable to look at. My only complant would be that the surface of the water gives the game away instantly, how mysterious this image would have been on a calm day, when the veiwer would initially think that he was veiwing the real world, not a reflection. Nevertheless this is a fantastic image and worthy of recognition.
