    Just back from South America... annoying had only one or two days of

    I like this a lot. Beautiful light, and the texture of the stone pavings is superb. Very few pictures I find which I'd actually like to have on my wall - this is one of them!

    It's a great shot and technically very good. My only suggestion might be that to have the subject absolutely centre frame is too obvious - next time 1/3 to the right or left maybe? That would also give a wider expanse of sky which you've captured so well here.

    Almost a masterpiece - I think the background sky is a bit too enhanced for me, I might drop it back to make it a bit more natural. Fine work though...

    Amazing old lady - she had literally just arrived after a three week

    walk over the mountains, escaping from the Chinese. The expression

    she's showing is a response to my question 'How did you feel when you

    finally met His Holiness the Dalai Lama.' Very moving for me.
