    Keep it simple, but not too simple. Consider, perhaps, variations of this image that suggest or hint at a horizon while keeping a shallow depth of field. This should orient the viewer's sense of foreground and background without ruining the subtle work you've done in this image. The effect would remain the same: subtle color and texture and an emhasis on the stare between the viewer and the horse. This image has a quiet sensibility. Consider the rule of thirds for placing the eye. I'm needing slightly more in the left half to balance the composition, but not too much more. Great job!

    I enjoy the abstraction. Althought the upper right is blown out, the darker curves serve as leading lines to direct the viewer to the real star of the show, the center of the flower. So many flower images exist out there already that it is refreshing to see something less than traditional and still effective with good design.
