Hi Lars,
As you are trying to learn here are some thoughts.
It is slightly out of focus on my screen and it should not be. I don’t use digital so don’t know whether your lenses can tolerate f22, at 24mm I would suggest that much over f 8 is too much. If you can get back to the beach try at f8, f 11, f16.
The composition is Fine, you don’t need to rotate to right –in my opinion but I think you could play around with how much of the clouds you keep at the top of the picture. Try bringing the top down by 25 % or may be even more. Too dark at the top of a picture can make it feel “heavy” – “depressing” when I suspect a storm came in shortly after and that should have given the picture a sense of “power”.
Digital allows one to learn a lot about composition rapidly if you have the patience sit in front of a monitor and reframe shots. You can do this by including more in the picture than you see as you shoot then reframe later.
If B&W is what you like then consider moving to film. If you do consider moving to film then now would be a very good time to start collecting dark gear as there is a lot of very good equipment for sale. Also note that Ilford have made a commitment to B&W which is paying off for them and there are lots of different brands of printing papers available.
Regards
Rob

Hi Liao,
Elegant.
Suggest you look into a large format camera so you can have the whole picture in focus as clearly you can focus a camera !!!
Hi Tony , “I am thinking the red pepper should have a shadow.”
My take is that it is elegant because of the very light shadows and the excellent focus.

Rob
