Lex, thank you sir, great advice.

Charles, I plan on her body being dark due to metering for the bright background. Thank you, that's what I want to use the background for, a light diffuser. I may CTO filter it if I cannot find the background i'm seeking.

Thank you, I'll be gaffing the background to the door, and backlighting it for a silhoutte effect.

Hi,

I'm planning a silhoutte, where the background would be at a door's threshold. I want to light it from behind with the model in front. I don't know what to order: muslin, canvas, velour, seamless? I know I want orange to mimic sunlight.

Thank you very much

I'm not doing 1:1 which I think is macro work. I'm shooting architecture.

Hi,

Has anyone ever heard of a Portman monorail camera? I cannot find information about it.

Thank you.

Thank you. Is it useless without the rear cell?

Hi,
I am going to shoot with a 5x7 camera and contact print. Initially, I will shoot architecture.
I will post the specifications from Shen-Hao's HZX57-IIAT, FCL57-A. There is a $350.00 price difference at Badger Graphic Sales, Inc. Anyone experienced in Large Format, which should I buy?

@Indraneel, Infrared, I never mentioned that.

I'm looking to pay about $350.00 on ebay. Thank you.

@Scott, if I can get one under $250.00 I'd be happy.

@John, I was looking at the KatzEye view screen too, can you tell me more? I.e., does it make focusing easy like on film Slrs?

Forgot, metering is not an issue. I use a Pentax spot meter, and can meter without it most of the time.

Hi,
I'd like to go digital, and use my old Nikon Ai-s lenses. So, I won't be auto-focusing, though I suspect all digital cameras have that feature. Can someone please recommend a Nikon camera? I would like to keep the cost low.
Advanced thank you,

Hi,
Anyone with specifications or experience with the JTL S 300M please share.
Thank you.

Hi,
I had two rolls of 120 film, my Vivitar 283, which I normally use on a 35mm hot shoe. However, I was shooting with my Mamiya RZ67. I connect the cord to the lens then to the Vivitar 283. Of the 20 available shots, the flash fired on 3.
Please help: Do I need a new flash (for a better PC connection), or is there a product that can fix this?
I searched the forum first for an answer to this specific problem and found nothing.
Thank you.

I understand completely Mister Lookingbill, I'll likely do the same.

Hi everyone,
Hopefully, this isn't too off-topic. I just wanted to alert you all that there's a new film being released on March 6 about photography, it's called Everlasting Moments .
Have a great day,

Thank you. I'm going to get one for my Yashica D too. I was doing some self portraits today and hated using the self timer.
