Thank you, I have now adjusted the image with your opinions in mind, and I do agree it looks a lot better; I have reduced the dark shadow on the left and got rid of some facial blemishes

Micheal, thanks for your image and feedback, but I do not like the softening of the skin, in my opinion it looks very "ghostly" on your image

This shot was actually taken outdoors in a smoking shelter at college, after christmas we'll be able to setup the studio lights and backdrop and hopefully my work will show a little more advancement.
