Pierre - yes, they are the 'hot spring monkeys' - and I kept wondering the same question myself! Wet monkey hair would take a long time to dry!
Grayham - thanks! Yes, my dof was pretty narrow, so there's a lot of softness around the faces...I sort of thought that soft worked with the picture, but I'm sure there are those who would disagree!

Fantastic. The sharpness stretching all the way from the foreground into the branches of the tree really draws attention to the movement in the clouds. powerful.

Nice dramatic photo - the toning and textures are very well done!

Hello Livia,
in response to the latter part, this is indeed a real place, and the sand is white - it is a field of gypsum dunes in the (appropriately named) White Sands, New Mexico. It's a phenomenal, and fairly popular, spot for photography in the southwestern US....there's something very surreal about the place.

I think it would be a great choice - the curve is beautiful and simple. and creates some movement against the stillness of the water.

Beautiful location - great capture.

I think I like the B/W version better. Fun image.

This is just fantastic. The atmoshperic lighting is beautiful, and the hut and haystacks are a perfect choice. Really nice job.
